Almost 200 RWHP with some simple mods.. 1 year, 6 months ago #1

Well this last Saturday I had the Max dynoed with the following mods:

Gutted CAT & ESRM (exhaust servo removal module) from Ken...

I could not get either file to open for me. Probably my computer. My Adobe doesnt like either. I sure would like to do a 30 mph 1st gear roll on against one of the 200 HP Vmax with my 2009. Mine only dynoed at 180 RWHP and 120 ft lbs torque. I would like to see how badly I would get spanked and how well the extra HP did with traction problems. I guess before I continue on with the 200 HP Quest I would like to experience the differences and advantages on the street. Congratulations!!

Opened up great on my other laptop. Go figure. Very nice numbers! Over 125 ft lbs torque and almost 195 RWHP. Do you have a Power Commander or Fuel Tuner. Looks like your lean at around 14:1 or more? I ask cause I havent gotten any dyno mapping done and using a map off the sight. I ran a straight line 14:1 all across on my dynos. If we get our A/F down to the 12.8 to 13.2 ratio can we expect another 5 to 10 HP out of our bikes?

Looks good...I see that you don't have the Race ECU or Speedhealer on there...even with that, you got 194.5HP, which I am assuming is STD...what is that, about 189HP (SAE) (approximation, not knowing what the Air Temp., Absolute Pressure, Vapor Pressure or the Dyno Correction Factor was at the time of your Dyno Run)...

Oh and Rick52, the rear tire has a hard time staying in touch between 1st through 3rd w 194rwhp....very exhilerating/liberating! I just lean back a little more Unless i'm layin down some snakes

Well I wish I had the Race ECU, but not yet.

Only the two mods for now. What I need is more intake air and the race ECU.

Art after I install either Race ECU or PC5, I should be closer to the 200 number. When I get my latest exhaust installed later this year, numbers again will be more....

Nice Randi! Your dyno sheet confirms what I believed. Torque is above 100 ft lbs. @ 3700+rpm, showing that all 4 cylinders collecting and then dispersing, results in better low end torque (like the xpipe or other 4 into 1 into 2 systems).

I am still in a little shock for the number. I never thought I would get even close to 190+ mark. I only have two things changed ie;

1. Gutted CAT going into a 3" single pipe,
2. Ken's ESRM Module...

I agree Bad, the touque was up there and the Mark Harrell (the dyno owner) was impressed. The only bike close was a Busa and he only made 182 with a pipe and K&N system. I still have the stock air box and filter! Go figure!
