I know it's all fun to poke fun at ideas and I'm cool with that but I do think it's a shame that no one has any interest in this... well at least you guys anyway.
If Bill can do it on a GEN 1 then surely it can be pulled off on our bike!? www.wildbros.com/RACE.html I do realize that most don't have much interest in pushing something beyond it's original design and you have to have some interest in engineering or at least a big pocket book as well to even see the possibility? If I don't sell her then in March I will be running it with just Tim's tune... currently there's a V-Rod taking that class each year at 169 MPH's but I guess no one on here cares about that either? I just figured it would be nice to have the V-Max show up to at least be a force to be reckoned with? I do have someone interested in it already so we'll see... but don't you worry as I will always have a V-Max... just might be another Gen 1? Cheers for now, David. |

With Tim's reflash and an Avon 200-55/18 tire you may just be able to best the V-Rod!

Lean & Mean it in every corner of your life...
If it wasn't for us the fast lane would rust... V4'S are music to the seat of my pants... Get your V-Max ECU Re-Flashed to Full Power!

And I think I would be happy with that if I could just win the class then maybe I could wait a few years and then buy the fast bike for the 200 MPH club? Not much I can do about gearing other then tearing it down to the frame, split the case and send frame and half's off for modding a chain conversion. So if it was a 4K or 6K Gen 1 bike then I might consider that but not this bike. Besides... it's so pretty I couldn't bear to see it done! |

Might be able to have a ring gear made for the differential, 1 tooth smaller is all you'd need

If I could run 200 on it, then there wouldn't be any reason to sell it! Most likely after I sell it someone will release a kit for it then! LOL |

I've got plenty of interest in it that's why I posted some advice for you several times, and mentioned I wanted to do it myself (at Maxton). Even posted the link to the rule book for you. Just was a little surprised you were selling your Max, it would be kinda hard to do without the bike! |

itgoes - You are correct and I shouldn't had worded my reply the way I did as I didn't mean for it to sound like I was talking about everyone (just a few).
So I apologize and you have been very helpfully along with a lot of others... and thanks for that support. It's all fun and no hard feelings on my part even for the others as well... heck I get made fun of a lot for just the amount of bikes I buy and sell (we won't even talk about cars). One day I will stop but for now it's all about want and never about need. I do hope to grow up one day!!! |
