New to Vmax 39 whom went from riding sport bikes hayabusa and gxsr1000 and wasnt comfortable anymore as i have shoulder issues so I bought the next best thing 2009 Vmax with 2700 miles and I got a good deal. "Next best thing"? Congrats on your purchase.....I'm sure you'll be happy. Does you Max have a wide wheel kit with a 240 rear tire? That will make it feel a bit heavier in the turns...check your air pressure, heavy bikes are a bit more sensitve to low air pressure in the tires. If you have any questions......feel free to ask!
