I have 2 V-Max motorcycles, a 1992 with over 136,000 miles and a 1997 that I bought brand new in May of 2000 that has over 85,600 miles on it. Both bikes are completely stock, no windscreen, no extra cushioned seat, etcetera. I have driven both from New Orleans to Maine and back twice each and I am feeling the fever for another road trip as I type this. I made the trips to Maine in two days, so to me the seat being "uncomfortable" is not an issue. Now to the ride. There is no sound on earth like a V-Max engine. There is no feeling like cruising on a V-Max. The ride is smooooth, and you feel the undeniable power as soon as you put the bike in first gear and pull out of the driveway. When you hit the highway, the Max thanks you and rewards you! You feel the power build and sometimes you suddenly realize that you seem to be gaining on highway signs quickly and when you glance at the speedometer, you realize that you are going____mph!
The truth is, I do not want any other motorcycle, just a V-Max. My only worry now is being priced out of bring able to buy the New Max! |
