finely got the brute vmax bought it off my brother in sydney oz with 1k klms on the clock ive owned many bikes but nothing like the MAX,this site is the best hope to mod the beast to its full potential so ill be asking you guys and gals for some expert advice. cheers VMAXOZMAN	vmaxozman OFFLINE Fresh Max Posts: 5

Welcome here. Congrats on getting your beast! How did you experience your maiden ride? What a machine, hey? And yes, Kris is THA MAN in Ozzie country when you want to turn a few tricks on your beast. He's searched extensively for every little accessory you can ever find for the Gen2 Vmax! Welcome!

I'll recommend three upgrades, but only after you get reasonably comfortable with the stock setup. If someone were to hop on a modded Max straight away, they very well may kill themselves.

Brock's pipe replaces the catalytic converter
Monster Big Air replaces the restricted air intake
Tim Nash's ECU Flash V2 replaces the limited factory ECU setting

All have been extensively reviewed on this forum and there are few detractors.

I'll have have dyno results tomorrow from the high desert on this particular combo, but I can already tell this is a different bike than even a modified air box and pipe. The ECU flash eliminates the limiter among other improvements, and really unleashes the beast. The jump in performance is similar in going from the Gen 1 VMax to the Gen 2.
