TOPIC: Xpipe

Xpipe 1 year 1 month ago #1

Hi guys. I am new to the site and just last week picked up my new 2011 Vmax. I've owned a lot of bikes but my favorite was my 86 Vmax so I'm really excited to be back with the new beast :) Have read a lot about the Xpipe. I want the increase in hp and sound of a new exhaust but want to keep my stock cans. I love the look. Can someone tell me where I can find the Xpipe? Im kind of at a loss locating them. Any help would be appreciated.

You will be very lucky to find an original X-pipe but a French company are making one similar. Have a look here

Here ya go Qtip. A little peak into my garage. Thats my new vmax. The bike between my Custom Harley and Highly Modified C6. Thanks guys for the suggestions on the xpipe. Ive read that Mike was making them but no longer. My options seem to be this french version, getting lucky with someone on this site selling thiers, UFO's Stealth system -To keep that stock look, or even Akrapovic's crossover I heard works but takes some fabrication to get the stock heat shields on. My planned mods are the Air Box Modification with K&N filter. Clutch Mod. Speedo Healer. Power Commander V. Wide Tire Kit. Fender Eliminator from NoMar. PIAA Slim Line horn. And of course Im working on what exhaust. I have a local guy thats going to do the Dyno work before the mods and after to get everything running well and to see how she's doing HP wise since I understand the wide tire kit will take some power away but Im thinking the added traction will be worth it and the other mods will make up for that. Besides it just looks cool ;) I will keep the pictures coming with the mods for you Qtip. I have have the flame thrower and Gatling gun almost ready ;)

This "X-Pipe" is a little under $1,000. A new Akro is a little under $700. I don't know what the difference is in HP, but it can't be much and I doubt that you could justify the extra $300 for the "X-Pipe". Shield trimming for the Akro takes minimal effort.

Nice set of mods, but I'd recommend the Gurued Gear Reflash of the ECU instead of the PCV ;)

PS. Nice Vette! :cheer:

Ended up getting an XPipe, doing the Air Box Mod, and getting a race ECU flashed by Tim. Your recommendation was the start of my research into Gurued Gear and I wanted to thank you I couldn't be more Happy with the results
