Greetings from Adelaide, South Australia.

I have been riding bikes for thirty something years and have owned all sorts. I have had more Yamahas than anything else, most recently a string of R1's and currently have a stage three kitted MT-01 sitting in my shed. I also have a 2011 H-D Fatbob which is currently for sale in order to make way for the Gen 2 Vmax I have recently put a deposit on. I am getting impatient for delivery of that bike and reading what you blokes are saying about them isn't helping one bit. I also have a couple of mid eighties jap bikes in the shed which I am going to get around to restoring/modifying, one of these days...

I am married, have kids of varying ages and generally enjoy myself in whatever way I can. Mostly by riding.

Thanks for the opportunity to join your forum and thanks in advance for all the collective knowledge here which I know will teach me much about my new ride.

Hey J.D., Welcome aboard and quite a ride it is! I have learned an incredible amount from this forum alone... Hi JD, welcome here. If you bought the Gen2 to replace the FatBoy, you certainly made a significant notch up the power tree, haha! My name is Helen, I got my 1st bike in 1973 it was a 650 Yamaha in 1974 I had 2 650 Yamaha's I then got a 850 Yamaha and was the 1st in New Zealand to get the 1100 Yamaha.I have a 2005 xjr1300 I would like someone to buy me a 2009 VMax as I just love the look of this bike and I would love to ride...
