Just want to say hi to everyone, I just bought a new 2012 VMAX and it came in yesterday. Unfortunately my wide wheel and stuff didn't come in yet so I figured that I leave the new Max there until it does, if I took it now I probably would never go back to get it

. A little bit about me, I'm originally from PA. but now live in Norfolk Va. retired Navy and now working for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. I want to say thank you for the wealth of information that's on this website, I definitely know where to turn to if I have any questions. So I'm looking forward in meeting up sometime and going for a ride after some practicing, haven't ridden in awhile and I have to tell you that Vmax is a little intimidating. well you all be safe and take care.

Welcome, newbie here too, had my 2012 for almost 3 weeks, 3649 kms on it now, can't keep off of it. Took me a week to get the courage to let it rip, i since have noticed very long black marks around town . The bike is very well balanced, and surprisingly good in the twisties for a long "cruiser". Give Max a run as is for a little while and get used to it. I`ts very well set up as is. :thumbsup:

When you get more confidant and twist the throttle a bit harder you will notice black road marks here and there behind you. That`s the time to put the 240 on and you will notice a difference. Some riders who like fast twisty roads prefer the 200 for better handling, but for looks and dragging the 240 is the goods. Have fun mate the 240 will be only the start of mods that are availible.
