It have ridden bikes since the sixties; a little TT on a Triumph,etc. My first bike was a Yamaha Big Bear Scrambler -- remember the two stroke kick with RPM. Well, went on to collect a few BSA's and Triumphs (20+). My wife decided to ride (she always refused to ride on the back. Said she would ride her own bike) She took the motorcyle safety course, which I highly recommend for even those of us who have years ridding. We purchased a Yamaha Virago 250. We would go out to ride and my old British bikes would have wet sumped, etc. while she waited, so for XMAS she bought a Harley sportster with electric start for me as a surprise. In the mean time I saw a VMax for sale in the local paper and she wrote the check. I ended up with two bikes at Christmas. Anyway, the VMax really won me over so when rumors of a new bike began three or four years ago I knew I would need one.

At near 65 don't let the b_____ get you down. Enjoyed a bike ride around England this summer seeing the Isle of Man race with some like minded California old guys.

Thanks for your first post! I'm glad to see that a man of your, (ahem) distinction, is still not letting that two-digit number effect the way that you look at your life and what makes you happy! I have no doubt that you could tell us all some good tales.
