Hi there,
Well, as the topic already gives you a hint; I'm from Belgium.. the very tiny little country in Europe I'm a Vmax rider for a long time now and recently swapped from my old one to the brand new 2009 one... I must admit, it was with pain and almost tears I left my good old bike at the dealer's shop... I enjoyed it a lot, in fact I was simply in love with it Times are changing, so do bikes and who can resist having the fastest accelerating bike on the current market? I couldn't! Even though it's €21290 in Belgium to become a proud owner... But hey, the new bike compensates the sorrow way enough! I became the proud owner of Vmax number 308!! Man man man, I'm in love again! I haven't changed that much on the bike yet. I simply replaced the stock mirrors with my own rizoma bar-end-mirrors. Looks much better this way. Next thing to do is getting rid of the hughe license plate holder and put the plate directly under the backlight. I'm also working together with a local exhaust building shop to make an adjustment to our beloved bike. I didn't like the sound ever since I got to see the new model when it was introduced.... Something needs to be done here. the setup we're looking for is to get rid of the collector and connect the pipes directly to the mufflers. A bit similar to the X-pipe setup I came across here recentely. Once that is done, a powercommander will be needed to optimize the performance with the new setup. That will be all I'm about to change Any other Belgian people around? (just wondering) Cheerz! DiMMaX |

DiMMaX, I'm from the Netherlands. That's not so far away from you.
Congratulations on your new Max. Yes, I know what you mean: leaving your beloved Vmax at the dealer's. But I haven't regretted it one second, not even while waiting for the new bike! Maybe we could take a tour in the north of Belgium. One of our Vmax friends lives in Limburg (Ned), near Roermond. I wish you all the good luck and joy building up your new 'love'! |

Indeed, the Netherlands isn't that far from Belgium Depends of course which part we're talking about... you would be amazed how far it could be after all vmaxbabe wrote: Congratulations on your new Max. I switched of the engine of my old blackmax and stepped on the new one,.. What a difference! vmaxbabe wrote: Maybe we could take a tour in the north of Belgium. Roermond is about 2 hours driving from my place Not that I care, but it indicates we might be a bit further from each other as we thought at first I'm used to far trips,... In fact I used to drive to Almere quiet a few times A tour would be nice indeed,.. I'm sure we'll meet soon. Btw: we might have met each other even though we didn't know by then: the Vmax happening in Belgium August last year (when the 2009 was introduced) Anyway, feels good to be on this very International forum, I've learned already more than I could imagine! Thanks for the warm welcome you all! Cheerz! DiMMaX |
