Hey Tom... It's Anthony.. met you parked out at the Harley Davidson restaurant in Las Vegas.. You’re so cruel for doing that to Harley and I loved it lol!
Thanks for letting me sit on your bike and hear it running. Something I have not heard until then. Your bike looks fantastic and I love the mods you did.. So clean and mean. Your a good ambassador for the bike and you were friendly and accommodating to the crowd that your VMAX attracted. The Vegas strip is sensory overload and only the MAX can steal an eye in such a distracting environment... It was the highlight of my stay. Show Off indeed and done well. Cheers! |

vrodtom,
Who's fender eliminator did you use to retain the rear blinkers? And what happened to the ones in front? Bike looks great!, I like the direction guys are taking to all black... you have also convinced me to remove the VMax logo's on the side covers. I have been going back and forth on that one for a couple weeks... |

Thanks! Believe it or not, I went to a body shop to ask about painting the six pieces, (4 front rad. and 2 side covers) and was told the 1/2 pint of paint was about $90 and labor would be about $100-$150. So I ordered on-line from ColorRite the vmax's flat black same as the engine and all the trim. Took only about 1 hr. and to my surprise, it came out GREAT! I am very happy with the look now. I am now going to paint the front and rear accents also. I am NOT a painter but the paint went on very easy and clean. I did spray a coat and then sanded with 600 grit and sprayed again. I am looking for that black bad boy look, but really want the scoops to stand out!
Now after i get my xpipe I will powercoat black the ex. pipes. ride safe, tom p.s. Forgot, the cost of paint from colorrite was only $38 for the spray can! As far as the rear plate, I got it on ebay for $29 and had to redrill holes to match the stock signals. Don't really know what to do with the front because the bike looks AWESOME without them showing off the scoops! |
