TOPIC: New, and excited

New, and excited 4 years 4 weeks ago #1

I actually don't have a VMax. Yet. I plan on trying to find one this summer, when I have a little extra money. I haven't heard anything about the 2010, but I may just try to order one for next year, unless it is expected to be inferior to the '09.

The thing I'm worried about is buying a bike sight unseen. Or, maybe more importantly, unheard. I can't seem to get the videos from this site to play for me, so I have no idea what the VMax sounds like. I have heard it's beautiful. What I'm hoping for is not so much as to bother the neighbors, but enough to get me goose bumps.

Things I'd like to learn on this site:
I'd like to hear the VMax.
I'd like to learn about the 2010.
I'd like to learn about the 2010 release date in time that I can pre-order one.
Lastly, are there any big problems with the '09 VMax? Is it difficult to ride, and to harness all those horses?

Any help is appreciated!

The Vmax sound in standard trim is within legal limits. What sound you would like to hear is very personal. It does have a deep growl when opening the throttle (at least that's my opinion).

The handling of all those horses is okay (Yamaha made sure anyone can ride off on it without problems of traction, balance etc). It's a very nicely balanced bike, but it's quite heavy and large for me. I have to back it up in or out of the parking and I do that very carefully. But once on the road it's magic! And the acceleration is out of this world!

My friends have told me that when I'm Hammering my '09 vmax(stock) by them that it sounds like a Ferrari. There's a new one for sale in Tulsa at the K&N Yamaha dealership in which the prospective buyer's financing fell through
