does anyone here know how much weight can be saved by switching up to the carbon fiber parts offered by Yamaha/Star?

The wife says that if I want my bike to lighten up, I could lose 50 lbs of ugly fat.

Hehe. That is what I did. I might have lowered the weight more than any new max owner. I am down 115 lbs now!! :woohoo:

WOw, good for you.

So no numbers on the weight. I figured as much. I think I knew it would not be worth the expense anyway.

I bet the carbon scoops are somewhat lighter. But, I would bet it is not enough to justify the price. The other parts are all pretty light to begin with it seems. I do bet you could save some big weight with wheels and exhaust though.

I have installed all the carbon on my bike,the weight savings are around 10 lbs.I did it for the look more than the weight savings,i like the look of carbon.
