Hi, I have decided that my next bike will be a V-Max, I am currently riding an 09 Triumph Rocket 3 my second one in the last 3 years, have loved the Rockets but the natural progression has to be the Max, sat on a new one today in London and found it felt lighter than the Triumph, strange as I think they are both about 300kgs.
Very tricky to get any info in the UK, any UK members on here? cant find a UK site for the new Max, anyway I wont be buying the new one at £20k so am looking for a used one for sensible money, Hope to be back soon as an owner, Steve. |

Welcome Steve.... We have members from all over the world. I am sure if the word gets out you are looking, someone will contact you. We have a lots of views and good resources for all kinds of modifications on the Max. Just sit back and read,.,.,.,.,.,
What I find interesting is you think the Rocket seem heavier than the Max. I sat on a Rocket and they both feel like tanks... Good luck on the search! |

Hi Steve - welcome to V max land! - UK style!
The Gen 2 Max is just awesome - got mine Dec 08 and have done 10500 thrill packed miles on it to date without a single problem. I just love the bike - totally addictive. There are a couple of Gen 2 Maxes for sale in this weeks MCN. |

I live in London and my bike lives in Nottingham, I drive 120 miles just to ride it, (It's a long story). VMAX 09 is the only bike I would do this for, nuff said. |

Welcome , Just make sure you map a petrol stop on the 120 mile run , I have had the pleasure of riding the Rocket 3 in Daytona at bike week on the factory ride and it's very impressive ...But as said above the Gen 2 V max is addictive to ride and it's more nimble than the Rocket not to mention faster and the antilock brakes can be a lifesaver , Good luck on the quest.

Hello and welcome Steve,
I am sure you won't be disapointed with your decision to get a Vmax, I waited for about 8 years since I saw the concept design to finally get one. Absolutely no regrets here. I have 20,500 fun filled kms on it now and about to get a major service done. Keep looking on this site for the right one, there are members that are in the front line of knowing where any Vmax is for sale and will post up details. Pokey. |

Thanks all for the welcome, watched one on Ebay a week ago sell for £12600 but I was still in the deciding stage so missed it, guess there will be more coming up for sale as the UK winter approaches,
I will need to lower the seat a bit, being a bit on the short arse side, I see there is a low seat option, and can the rear be dropped an inch? Steve. |
