Ever wondered how we came up with the Monster Big Air setup for the new VMax?
Here is a little summary of our R&D work we performed early in 2009. We just re-run some of the tests to validate the numbers with the Akrapovic exhaust system.

Need wiring diagrams for 2009 V-Max? anything? Also was looking to install a electronic criuse control? Anyone heard of a good one?

Getting ready to test the Autotune next. Made some modifications to the fxPipe collector, better fitment to eliminate a few leaks and 2 extra O2 sensor hookups for the Autotune tests. Will be running that setup with Autotune and Wideband Commander to see how it performs and what it really does and does not do well. Should have some results within a couple of days.

Back from the dyno shop. Finished the the PCV - UFO4-1 - Monster Big Air Map. Also did the low end, as the bike really needed it. very happy with the 20-100% range, below it no perfect but runs very solid with the stock O2 sensor connected. No back firing, no surging. The whether god was with us too - cooler temps so I got some decent horsepower numbers out of the setup. Will be posting details later on.

Just got back from the dyno room, taking the PCV through its paces. Got some interesting info coming. Working on the blog post right now.

Time to install the PCV. It the project for this afternoon. As much as I like the PCIII (mainly because of its integration into the Dynojet software), the demand for PCV maps for the VMax and various configurations is getting bigger. Should be able to get some mapping work done this weekend.
