Re: Windshield Updates 2 years 8 months ago #21

Has anyone tried or has the new taller Y's gear leaf wind shield?
If so where can it be puchased as it seems that they will not ship it from Japan.

I would definitely buy that and sell my original one if I could get it.

I just installed the Boulevard Windscreen, because of the look, and it does make a difference for me. I have not used other windsheilds, but with this one I did notice a good difference so I'm happy with the purchase. Ebi

I put the Yamaha/Boulevard shield on mine, too. Look right. Good fit and finish. My only complaint is that it picks up headlight glare at night. Reflects the light back at me. Especially under the bulge for the shift light. Worse on low beam than high. Gonna tape up the lower edge and under shift light bulge to try to reduce this.

You could mask off a line on the lower section say the bottom third and spray it with the Plasti dip spray paint , I did one for my sons friends Ninja did the whole inside on his looked great and if you want to take it off you can peel it painting the inside makes the outside look factory quality and won't get nicked or scratched from rocks bugs ect.
