depends on what you want to do,if you like having a custom map made G.G. makes a basic flash that leaves the fuel mapping alone(stock) so you would need a pc5 with this flash to change your fuel mapping. others are set for certian combinations and no pc5 is required.

Yes, I do not run a PCV, as long as you purchase the tune that matches your setup... At least pretty close. Ask Tim before you order to make sure. He will not steer you wrong

Send in your stock ECU to Tim at Guruedgear he will "reflash" your ecu to 2.0 . He will return it to you in a few days. You re-Install the ecu and go ride!
It is "just" a new program of maps and such that tells your bike to run better... and faster.... and smoother.... and more efficient!!! What more could you want!!!
Benefits:
Much more power in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears
A little more power in 4th and 5th
No stock speed restriction (139mph ish)
MUCH MUCH MUCH smoother running than the stock ecu program
Better Idle
No more stumbling at cruise rpm
Substantially less engine braking as you decell
You can remove your exup with out the need for the plug
Much better fuel mapping and timing on the four cylinders (Yamaha switched two cylinder fuel mapping by mistake!!)
Did I mention MUCH MUCH smoother and MORE POWER!!
Oh, also your fuel economy might improve as well, I know mine has.

As far as money I think he is at $550 currently
BY FAR THE BEST MONEY SPENT ON THIS BIKE!!!

What do you mean when you say "(Yamaha switched two cylinder fuel mapping by mistake!!)

He means there are two cylinders that have fuel maps that are not optimal. I use 4 wide band O2 sensors to individually map each cylinder for each tune. As you sit on the bike, the right two cylinders will read rich and the left two are lean in the OEM maps. With the stock ECU, if you tune a PCV with an O2 sensor using only the right side of a 4 into 2 aftermarket system, you will lean the left side beyond a level most would be comfortable with. The problem is compounded by the adjacent cylinders being rich where the other is lean. They vary in error thru out the RPM range. When an aftermarket system is installed, on an individual cylinder level the stock mapping is pretty bad. Here is a video to give you and idea:

Does the Yamaha race ECU correct that problem also?
