Re: Reevu helmet may soon be available in the USA 3 years 1 month ago #11

Joey if you show up to Daytona wearing you Kevlar issue helmet I will buy you a steak dinner at Outback !
Hell I will even buy Brandi a steak dinner if you wear that helmet all weekend !

Hopefully they will step up to the plate and replace Hans with a promotional actor with some enthusiasm

looks interesting not sure really how it works though

Tom are you the unauthorized Vegas helmet Pimp ?

How is you speil better than Hans ?

Do you have a you tube video as well Tom ?

I like it. Not approved for use here yet. Needs to have ADR (Australian Design Rules approved) sticker to be able to be worn here.

Yeah, if it is good as indicated get it ADR certified ASAP. There will be a stampede to buy it over here. Need a bit better professional advertising I think? If it is the "real deal" that is ?? :cigar:

Just remember, I like the prime rib. And here's another video I found reviewing the Reevu. In it he states it is being tested by DOT for approval.

Great find Shaun. I need a new helmet and I was going to upgrade my mirrors. It looks like I can take care of both with one price. The price is right too.

I like it. I'll be getting one if it gets DOT approval. Military regulations require that I wear a DOT approved helmet while riding. :soldier:

They have stickers for that. ;)

looks promising however I will wait until it is dot approved. Really like the idea! Being able to see more while wearing a helmet is never a bad thing!

Tom are there any test stickers or certificate references inside the helmet?

NOT dot approved yet. Coming soon. I really think the safety factor of seeing everything behind you without turning your head ever overcomes the dot sticker! I can understand dot but you really have to understand, try driving your car or truck WITHOUT the rearview mirror! Only being able to see the sides and NOT knowing who is behind you and how close or if someone is coming on you very fast behind and then passes you! Yes, I can get them.

I just ordered one of these from their website REEVU here. I received an e-mail shortly afterward asking me if I wanted the ECE or the DOT version. I inquired about the DOT version and was informed that they are now DOT certified.

Naturally I ordered the DOT version in the case I go back to the US there will not be any runaround about it.

Good luck!
