I'm not sure the exact parts my dealer ordered for me, but they were about $50, and they said they were needed so that when I swapped wheels, the bearings didn't have to come out. The other parts attached to the wheel, such as the brake disk, abs parts, etc, are very easy to swap from one wheel to the other. It took me about 15 minutes the other day to swap those parts for the first time as I had to keep checking the manual to make sure I was doing it right. I could do it in about 10 minutes now. Besides, those parts are expensive.

Everything else is fairly easy. The spacers slide right in and out. The pumpkin is fairly easy to remove and replace, although a bit heavy. The ABS sensor and brake caliper is easy as well. I did by a 24mm allen key for the axle (about $30 online), but to get the torque right, I did the trick that Tim Nash came up with (a bolt and two nuts - about $2.50).

Hope this helps! Best of luck, and ride safe!

lol I was working on this one today as well. Funny how we all got the same idea at the same time.

Lowes has rubber plugs in various sizes for about $1 each. I started off just plugging the two tubes. But here's my thought... If we are plugging the tubes, why not just remove them? I'm headed back to Lowes to get the size smaller plugs. I'll post pics and results when I'm done.

I've got family coming into town on Monday the 15th, but might ride out to watch Friday night if they've vamoosed. I'd ask when they are leaving, but it might been seen as bad manners.

I read on the Texas Motorplex website that:

All motorcycle riders are required to wear a full face helmet meeting above Specs, leather jacket, leather boots/shoes above the ankle, and leather gloves. Full all leathers or SFI Spec 40.1/2 suit is mandatory on all motorcycles running 120 mph or faster.

That sucks! The full racing leathers over 120 mph is a no go for me. How strict are they on that?
Not true @ ALL! Been there done that.. You don't have to have them Just boots and a leather jacket,gloves..and you will be fine..My buddy just about hit 150mph and they didn't say a word..

I hope to make it out..I may not if i don't fix my bike it time.

arabian2 created a new topic Parts to complete a wide wheel kit in the forums.
Has anyone spec out the parts that are needed to build a complete Wide Wheel (of course minus the Rim and bearing kit that comes with it)?

I thinking about it because I would like to have the freedom to switch between the two when needed.

Track day
HP shoot out day
Bike Show day (240)
Most everyday riding (200)
etc

If also known what was the cost?

Thanks in Advance

I need to brush up on my laws and whatnot so please don't bash on me too much, can't you still at least take your bike to the track (well have someone take it there for you then you jump on)?
