Today Yamaha sent a message about the new VMax to its dealers around the US:

August 22, 2007 Star Motorcycles V-Max Concept Update

Dear Yamaha Motorcycle Dealer,

At both last year’s Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas and select Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows, a Star Motorcycles V-Max Concept model was shown to gauge consumer response and acceptance. We are pleased to inform you that further development of this concept model will continue from our factory during the year ahead and be assured that we will do our best to keep you informed of its progress during this time.

Thank you and best wishes for continued success,

Bob Starr

General Manager, National Communications Motorsports Group Company

The good news: The new VMax is coming for sure

The bad news: Another year of waiting. We expect the bike to be released as a 2009 model year version

Guys if Mike told you he would make you one of his one off X-Pipes. Wait! Wait! Wait for it and when he's done it will be well worth the wait.. I'm telling you the sound that comes out of the a$$ end will bring nothing but and the quality-fit and finsh is top notch.. And the is good too!! Most of all, Mike is one of a kind.. He will help when you don't ask and lead you in the right direction for any help needed.. I have nothing but good things to say about him as you can tell.. Mike you ROCK!!!

Why not connecting a standard rear bulb in additional and mount it with a socket under the passenger seat ?

I'm gonna tape up the wheel good before I try any tricky maneuvers. I'll get back on it tomorrow.

Good luck sweetie!!!!!!!!!!! Send us photos tomorrow!

Got it. Had to angle it big time like you said Randi. Big angle...tuck the housing deep in the wheel.....slide in a little, and straiten out. This was just a dry run to see if my modified cover will fit/work. Lot's of fun!

Thanks for all the replies Guys and Gals, I appreciate it! Where else could you get help like this at this time of night!?

Thanks!
Mark

Ok plan on adding another horse to the stable always fun started out looking at the simple Suzuki DRZ400 SM but wtf are they crazy to ask 1.5k more for a detuned DRZ450 some street tires and lights? Word also is tou have to rev the piss out of the thing.
So continued down the road KTM Aprilia and Husky dealer Aprilia 550 vtwin not so hot long motor life Husky omg ever sit on 1 like a brick and smog parts hangin off all over the motor.
KTM Duke690 or used 640 very nice single pumping out 65hp rear wheel in a 300 lb package they just seem like a blast to ride and flick around like the old dirt bike days.
Option 2 09 Super Dukes aparently made too many of them now offered at 5K off msrp in the same price of the single duke now tou get 400 lbs 120 hp 990 V-twin also light weight compared to monster max

Ok here is the question anyone here have either of these bikes or Supermotard style bike as second? I know KTM is funky styled but so is Mr Max thanks Tyler
