It is with great pleasure to announce the "Gen2 VMAX of the Month" for October. Please join in congratulating SfcRick on a job very well done!
The following is a brief history as told by the man himself

"I got the VMax in April of this year with the intention of having a stock bike just to ride. After spending so much time customizing my Road Star and Raider in chrome and custom paint I wanted a bike to just ride and not worry about messing up my custom bikes. I never really had a performance bike for the street so this VMax looked like the bike to have. I didn't want a bike like ever one else has, so the other stock bikes wouldn't do. I got hooked on this bike the minute I left the parking lot. I rode it for awhile in it's stock paint thinking how great this bike looked and it WAS. But the thought about the Warhawk theme kept coming into my mind and soon it was apparent that I must paint it. I had sort of a local reputation for having the best looking Star bikes in the area, so ever one who lnows me kept asking when I would do this up. I've been able to win the annual bike show at the dealership for 5 years running so it's kinda a point to keep things fresh and better than the last year.

VMax of the Month September 2009

VMax of the Month September 2009It is my great pleasure to announce that Cruise Missile’s Custom 09 Vmax is the September Bike of the month.

One look at Randy’s bike and it is clear that he had one goal in mind and it is what he titled the first thread about this bikes journey........”Making it my Own”

Without a doubt he has truly made this bike his own work of art. The number of hours planning, sweating and I’m going to guess a few sleepless nights have paid off for Randy. The result of his labors has left many in awe. Randy said he has lost track sometimes of what he has done and redone to the bike over the time of its creation. Like a traditional sculptor he took away here and put some there only to step back, refocus and chisel away again finding the perfect balance between function and beauty.

As many of you know Randy’s bike was showcased at this years MotoGP Weekend at Indy. It certainly was a show stopper without any question. The young and old alike stood and stared at the beauty of this bike.

Hi Kris

I had my vmax tuned in new castle just north of sydney with similar mods but we onle got to 184hp , would the tempreture absorb that much difference? it was 37.7 deg c on the day i was booked in for...or would the wide rear wheel kit be eating some of my ponies?

any idears

Why not connecting a standard rear bulb in additional and mount it with a socket under the passenger seat ? Its an easy and cheap bugfix.

Good idea Lupo! I think it needs a small resistor in the circuit. I will know more when I get mine.

If you are a good electrician, ohm the factory one and then ohm the new one. If the new one has less ohms, to solve the issue you can install a small resistor in line of the brake circuit.

Just another Blond idea from the audience!
